Regarded as one of Neukomm's most important works, the Motet in C celebrating Easter is from a cycle of fifty the composer wrote, during a stay in Rouen in the space of a few short months between 1850 and 1851. This arrangement of the motet was prepared at the Abbey Vorau at Festburg in Austria by the choral director, Dom. Ivo Eiselt (CRSA). A distinguished musician and conservator who prepared this work for small orchestra from the original for organ and voices.
